Senior Communications Engineer

What you'll do

• Contributes to network facilities design and technology selection.
• Develops project physical layer design documents and BOMs.
• Designs horizontal cabling systems and optical riser backbone systems.
• Manages project expenses, identifies cost-effective methods for infrastructure projects.
• Tracks timeline and financial forecast against stated objectives.
• Interfaces with outsource suppliers to ensure network standards compliance.
• Conducts capacity planning surveys to meet building and business requirements.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in building construction, electrical, and communications infrastructure design & implementation.
• Proficiency in EIA/TIA standards and knowledge of relevant building codes.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects with successful and timely completion.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff.
• MS Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Experience in conducting capacity planning surveys and ensuring designs meet business requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead capacity planning and provide oversight for physical layer network facilities infrastructure.
