Senior Business Systems Analyst

What you'll do

• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of current and future-state processes, data flows, and integration impacts.
• Manage the project lifecycle by developing plans, tracking timelines, and managing dependencies to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios and tracking defects before release.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, technical documentation, and final delivery outcomes.
• Serve as a liaison between business partners and IT teams to align project goals with corporate standards.
• Research and evaluate alternative solutions to provide cost-effective recommendations for specific business needs.
• Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies while providing concise status updates to leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT experience with a focus on business analysis and project coordination.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices including user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and testing coordination.
• Proficiency using Jira or similar tools to manage requirements, defects, and traceability.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to work with large data sets.
• Knowledge of the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI (preferred).
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL (preferred); experience with integrations, reporting, and migrations across financial platforms (preferred).
