As a Senior Associate, Decision Science – Finance Analytics within the Finance Decision Optimization team, you will support the end-to-end model development lifecycle to improve strategic finance decisions. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, prototype solutions, and partner with modeling and technology teams to deliver measurable outcomes. Your daily responsibilities include performing exploratory analysis, conducting sensitivity analysis, and managing user acceptance testing for production processes. You will develop and refine statistical models while ensuring results comply with business requirements. The role requires proficiency in SQL and Python to design complex queries and scripts, along with experience in statistical techniques like A/B testing. Preferred skills include familiarity with SAS, R, Databricks, Streamlit, and AWS cloud environments. You will solve problems related to how finance teams utilize data and models for decision-making.
Perform exploratory analysis and sensitivity analysis to inform modeling approaches and understand behavioral patterns.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and prototype solutions for new requests.
Develop and refine statistical models in partnership with quantitative modeling teams.
Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and Python scripts for data validation and integration.
Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure delivered functionality meets specific business requirements.
Validate production results and perform ongoing monitoring of production processes.
Deliver analytics that drive measurable outcomes by translating data into actionable recommendations.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
3+ years of experience at a financial institution or consulting firm in corporate finance, banking, treasury, data analytics, or quantitative modeling.
Proficiency in programming tools including SQL and Python to drive business outcomes.
Experience with statistical and experimental techniques such as controlled testing (A/B testing).
Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of information with accuracy.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Experience supporting large-scale data projects (preferred).
Proficiency with SAS, R, Databricks, Streamlit, or AWS cloud environments (preferred).
