Senior Android Developer

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable, high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead discussions with project stakeholders.
• Build application features following established coding standards and Android best practices.
• Create unit tests to meet or exceed project code-coverage targets.
• Manage application testing, release processes, and production deployments.
• Implement application monitoring solutions based on specific client requirements.
• Prepare and maintain technical designs, service specifications, and application documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to developers preparing functional and technical specifications.

What we're looking for

• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Six or more years of professional Android application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android application development.
• Experience designing and developing applications using MVVM, MVC, or MVI architecture.
• Experience building unit tests and working toward established code-coverage requirements.
• Knowledge of Android application testing, production deployment, and app distribution processes.
• Strong communication skills to lead technical conversations and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience providing technical guidance or mentorship to Android developers (preferred).
• Knowledge of application monitoring and production-support practices (preferred).
• Experience preparing technical designs, service specifications, and functional documentation (preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Experience contributing to coding standards, design reviews, and application-quality initiatives (preferred).
