As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will join the team to enhance mission-critical communication solutions for two-way radios. You will lead and manage all aspects of the product development process, including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing while coordinating with cross-functional teams across various departments. Your daily work involves analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining software, participating in code reviews, refactoring, and ensuring robust performance through unit testing and continuous integration. You will utilize Java or Kotlin, the Android SDK, and Android Studio to build features. Technical requirements include experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development, version control systems, RESTful APIs, and Android Framework components like Bluetooth and Sensors. Lead the full product development lifecycle including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing for ASTRO radios.
Manage engineering teams, project timelines, and resource allocation in a dynamic environment.

Conduct code reviews, refactoring, and testing to ensure robust software delivery.
Implement software best practices including Unit Testing, Test Automation, and Continuous Integration.

What we're looking for
A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is required.
Experience building cross-platform native apps (iOS and/or Android) and web applications is required.
Thorough knowledge of Android mobile app deployment using Java or Kotlin is required.
Familiarity with the Android SDK, Android Studio, and various Android Framework components like Bluetooth, Sensors, Widgets, and Services is required.
Experience with version control systems and exposure to Jetpack Compose for building UIs is required.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, modern mobile/frontend build pipelines, and Android security features is required.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including unit testing, test automation, and continuous integration, is required.
Ability to lead product development processes, manage team performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multi-site environment is required.
