Android Application Team Lead

What you'll do

• Design and develop complex mobile features for high-reliability environments using modern Android toolsets.
• Build responsive and maintainable user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
• Establish and drive automated testing strategies including unit, UI, and integration testing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while establishing coding standards and conducting code reviews.
• Manage application stability, performance, and the mitigation of technical debt.
• Plan and execute multiple concurrent technical initiatives in coordination with product management.
• Communicate complex architectural trade-offs and technical strategies to peer engineers and leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience building cross-platform native apps and web applications.
• In-depth mastery of the Android SDK, OS internals, framework lifecycle, and modern architecture patterns like MVVM or MVI.
• Proven experience building complex user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and other modern Jetpack libraries.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java, including asynchronous programming with Coroutines, Flow, or RxJava.
• Experience with C/C++ and the Android NDK/JNI for high-performance or native component integration.
• Expertise in automated testing using JUnit, Mockk, Espresso, and the Compose Test Framework.
• Advanced skills in performance profiling, memory management, and debugging multi-threaded or native bugs.
