Senior AI & Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning engineering including analysis, design, testing, and deployment for GenAI applications.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, perform data preprocessing, and develop APIs to support ML models.
• Configure and manage AI/ML infrastructure components across cloud and on-premise environments like AWS and GCP.
• Design and implement complex technical solutions for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and generative AI.
• Create proof of concepts and prototypes for complex solutions to present to leadership.
• Consult with data scientists and business partners to determine ML model development and implementation approaches.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership within the engineering community.
• Ensure all business activities comply with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of relevant education and experience.
• 6+ years of machine learning engineering, data engineering, or software development experience implementing data solutions.
• Extensive programming experience using Python, SQL, and Java.
• Extensive data engineering experience including building, integrating, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Experience delivering end-to-end ML/GenAI solutions and leveraging MLOps principles with automated workflows.
• Expert knowledge of at least one cloud platform and relevant components like AWS SageMaker.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor junior team members.
• Knowledge of Data Science principles, stochastic modeling, and advanced mathematical techniques.
• Programming skills using FastAPI, OpenShift, or Snowflake (preferred).
• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or other highly regulated industries (preferred).
• US military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner (preferred).
