TL;DR · Scenario Framework & Simulation Orchestration Lead

The Scenario Framework & Simulation Orchestration Lead provides technical leadership for the framework used to define, configure, execute, and evaluate simulation scenarios and campaigns supporting automation and robotics. This role involves building reusable scenario capabilities by designing schemas, APIs, SDKs, and orchestration services for single-run simulations, parameter sweeps, and large-scale campaign execution. The position focuses on integrating these systems with digital twins, SIL, and HIL environments to solve complex challenges in construction autonomy and physical AI. Key technical requirements include proficiency in Python and C++, along with experience in NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, ROS2, Gazebo, CARLA, or AirSim. The role also requires expertise in distributed systems, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced software engineering to manage the lifecycle of simulation data while ensuring reproducibility and automated reporting for verification and validation workflows.

What you'll do

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of a reusable scenario framework for robotics and autonomy use cases.
  • Define technical specifications including schemas, APIs, SDKs, and configuration models for scenario execution.
  • Build orchestration services for large-scale simulation campaigns, parameter sweeps, and automated result collection.
  • Translate complex autonomy and system-level test requirements into executable scenarios and validation workflows.
  • Integrate the framework with platforms like NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, and ROS2.
  • Develop developer tools for creating, debugging, versioning, and publishing simulation scenarios.
  • Establish campaign engineering patterns to ensure deterministic replay and reproducible results across various environments.
  • Define evaluation interfaces for metrics, KPIs, and automated reporting to support verification teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree (preferred).
  • Typically 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of simulation, orchestration, or complex integration initiatives.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python and C++, including API design, reusable libraries, debugging, and production-quality software development.
  • Experience building simulation frameworks, orchestration systems, workflow engines, test frameworks, or distributed execution platforms.
  • Knowledge of simulation architecture and integration with NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, ROS2, Gazebo, CARLA, AirSim, or comparable technologies.
  • Understanding of SIL, HIL, system integration, test automation, verification and validation, regression testing, and requirements traceability.
  • Experience with distributed systems, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, artifact management, and cloud or on-premises execution environments.
