What you'll do

Lead systems engineering activities focused on safety requirements, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation across the full system lifecycle.
Develop and maintain Safety Management Plans, hazard analyses, and environmental impact assessments.
Ensure all products and processes comply with DoD safety standards and regulations.
Integrate personal and environmental safety requirements into system architectures and designs.
Conduct and support Safety Reviews, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and System Safety Working Groups (SSWG).
Coordinate with EHS teams to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Mentor junior engineers on safety engineering best practices.
Support proposals, design reviews, and customer interactions regarding safety requirements.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of job-related experience.
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (preferred).
Experience with hazard analysis, risk assessment, and environmental compliance.
Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DoD safety regulations.
