What you'll do

  • Architect, build, and maintain automated test infrastructure for all Omen mission software from unit tests to system-level validation.
  • Design Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) environments to exercise autonomy and hardware interfaces.
  • Write tests to validate hardware interfaces including UART, CANbus, and serial protocols across embedded systems.
  • Develop tooling and test cases to evaluate autonomy behavior, decision-making, and mission outcomes in operational scenarios.
  • Build integration tests to validate interactions between software, firmware, and hardware components on Omen platforms.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues identified during testing or in the field to ensure system reliability.
  • Contribute production code for mission systems while developing deep knowledge of the Omen software stack.
  • Travel up to 25% to test, debug, and validate systems in real-world operational environments.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience writing production-grade C++.
  • Experience owning automated testing for production software including integration tests, system tests, and CI infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience designing or working with Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test environments.
  • Experience writing software and tests that interact with hardware interfaces like UART, CANbus, and serial protocols.
  • Working knowledge of verification and validation practices for embedded or mission-critical software.
  • Ability to navigate and contribute to complex systems and established codebases.
  • Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance.
