What you'll do

  • Build simulation frameworks for training and evaluating robot foundation models on the Omniverse platform.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate novel algorithms for robot learning in partnership with research teams.
  • Translate research ideas into scalable product capabilities within the Isaac Lab Arena.
  • Define technical architecture and establish evaluation standards for robotics software.
  • Integrate modern LLM and agentic workflows into simulation and robotics pipelines.
  • Perform high-quality software engineering tasks including design reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Drive adoption of tools among research users by bridging the gap between research and product teams.

What we're looking for

  • PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of relevant industry or post-degree research engineering experience in robotics, simulation, or robot learning.
  • Proven track record of software design and translating research prototypes into production-ready software platforms.
  • Proficiency using Python and development experience with deep learning software stacks like PyTorch or Jax.
  • High-impact publications at top robotics and machine learning venues (preferred).
  • Robot learning expertise with reinforcement learning and/or imitation learning (preferred).
  • Deep expertise in GPU-accelerated physics simulation engines such as PhysX, Isaac Gym, or Isaac Lab (preferred).
  • Experience with NVIDIA robotics ecosystem tools like CUDA, warp, Isaac Lab, or ROS (preferred).
