TL;DR · RF/Microwave Engineer, Satellites (Starlink)

Join our Satellite Payload Engineering team as an RF/Microwave Engineer, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to develop high-performance wireless digital communication systems for satellites and ground antennas. Your daily tasks include simulating and modeling communication systems, working on the partitioning of functions between hardware and software domains, assessing design feasibility, and characterizing system performance. You will use tools like CST, HFSS, AWR, Altium Designer, and Python for test automation while focusing on RF/microwave circuits in Ku, Ka, V, and E-bands. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in RF circuit design and 3D EM simulation tools, making it ideal for those passionate about satellite technology and communication systems at scale.

What you'll do

  • Simulate and model communication systems for satellite RF devices.
  • Partition functions between hardware and software domains with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Assess design feasibility to support architectural definition of new systems.
  • Derive top-level specifications for RF links and subsystems in Ku, Ka bands.
  • Characterize and analyze system performance to ensure high reliability.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in RF/microwave circuit design and simulation with tools like CST, HFSS.
  • Experience designing linear and non-linear circuits such as power amplifiers and mixers.
  • Proficient in RF/microwave design using ADS, HFSS, AWR or similar software.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic propagation and antenna systems.
