RF Modeling Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems.
• Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to achieve performance sign-off.
• Develop analytical models based on the end-to-end characterization of modem RF impairments.
• Support the definition of RF and modem specifications through technical analysis.
• Develop RF mitigation algorithms to address various hardware and signal impairments.
• Create AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques for wireless communication.
• Translate hardware designs from analog circuit designers into functional system models.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems.
• Strong analytical skills in linear algebra, random processes, detection, and estimation.
• Proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, and Python for algorithm development.
• Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with RF impairments such as phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, and inter-modulation.
• Knowledge of RF/analog components, digital front-end processing, and automatic gain control.
• Knowledge of cellular communication standards including 5GNR and 4G LTE.
