RF Modeling Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems.
• Develop system models and perform detailed performance investigations to achieve performance sign-off.
• Perform end-to-end characterization of modem RF impairments to support specification definition.
• Develop analytical models and mitigation algorithms for various RF impairments like phase noise and IQ imbalance.
• Create AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques using tools like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Translate hardware designs from analog circuit designers into functional system models.
• Define and support the technical specifications for 5G cellular and non-terrestrial networks (NTN).

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems.
• Strong analytical skills in linear algebra, random processes, detection, and estimation.
• Proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, and Python for algorithm development.
• Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication and tools like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with RF impairments, their impact on modem performance, and mitigation techniques.
• Knowledge of RF/analog components, digital front-end processing, and cellular standards like 5GNR and 4G LTE.
