RF Engineer

What you'll do

• Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
• Research novel solutions for unique large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Design and validate RF systems in collaboration with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers.
• Provide full life cycle support for RF hardware, including PCBA board testing and defect detection.
• Resolve on-orbit vehicle anomalies.
• Create electromagnetic simulation models for antennas, filters, and PCB layouts to evaluate performance.
• Modify electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for flight applications to improve reliability and manufacturability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in RF engineering.
• Experience with modeling/analysis tools/software such as HFSS, CST, ADS, MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python.
• Experience with RF test equipment such as VNA and spectrum analyzers.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in microwave/RF engineering (preferred).
• 1+ years of professional experience in a relevant field (preferred).
• Experience modeling RF/channel impairments, designing RF systems, antenna theory, SDRs, and link budgets (preferred).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
