The successful candidate will manage release planning and wave orchestration, environment and transport management, technical oversight, stakeholder governance, cutover management, and process improvement. Key responsibilities include defining release calendars, coordinating transport management, overseeing system integrations, and driving continuous improvement through DevOps practices. Essential skills include extensive experience with SAP Basis, ABAP development, and functional modules like FI, SD, MM, PP, GTS, EH&S, CFIN, GPD, PS, EWM, and Manhattan Associate AATP. The role requires proficiency in tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, Active Control, Rev-Trac, and familiarity with ITIL v4 governance models.
Define and maintain comprehensive wave-based release roadmaps aligned with SAP Activate phases.
Manage change & release strategies, coordinate transport management across development environments.
Lead release planning ceremonies including kick-offs, milestone reviews, and post-release retrospectives.
Oversee SAP system integrations, middleware touchpoints, and interface testing within the release cycle.
Develop detailed cutover plans and runbooks for each wave go-live event, leading hypercare operations.
Continuously refine release management processes to increase velocity and reduce risk.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience leading SAP solution development efforts.
5+ years in SAP release management and test automation.
3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Basis or key functional modules (FI, SD, MM).
3+ years of experience with the SAP Activate methodology.
Proficiency with change/transport tooling: SAP CTS+, Solution Manager, Cloud ALM.
