Software Development Manager - Release Management

What you'll do

• Coordinate the full release lifecycle, ensuring effective planning, validation, documentation, communication, and deployment.
• Guide Release Coordinators and Defect Managers, assessing performance and fostering talent development.
• Maintain release calendars, timelines, readiness assessments, and governance compliance.
• Lead sprint and product launch close-out ceremonies, validating scope completion and prioritizing defects.
• Drive defect management by coordinating triage, prioritization, assignment, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Test Leads to ensure accurate testing strategies and acceptance criteria implementation.
• Develop benchmarks and track metrics for release predictability, cycle time, MTTR, and overall quality.

What we're looking for

• More than 5 years of experience in software development, release management, or DevOps.
• Proven ability to manage and develop people within teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, defect lifecycles, and release governance.
• Experience collaborating with external vendors and multi-functional groups.
• Excellent communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, cloud environments, and automation frameworks.
