Regional Strike Team Leadership - Product Direction is a hands-on role situated at the intersection of software development and systems thinking. What you'll do

Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with Regional Strike program objectives.
Translate system-level requirements into actionable work items with clear acceptance criteria.
Work directly with developers at the story level to clarify intent and remove ambiguity.
Coordinate across multiple workstreams to manage technical dependencies and integration points.
Represent the team's product direction to program leadership and key stakeholders.
Contribute to systems engineering artifacts and technical decisions from a software-informed perspective.
Provide hands-on technical contributions to the team's work when not focused on product direction.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required.
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Ability to understand, read, or write software (preferred).
Experience translating between engineering disciplines and communicating across technical and non-technical stakeholders (preferred).
Systems mindset with ambitions toward a chief engineer career path (preferred).
Track record of thinking beyond your own workstream to see the bigger system (preferred).
Ability to identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation (preferred).
