Quantum Engineer, Artificial Intelligence and Devices

What you'll do

• Develop and improve automation pipelines for quantum-device data analysis and experiments.
• Apply machine learning methods to characterize, tune, and analyze complex experimental data.
• Integrate machine learning models into simulation and control environments in partnership with researchers.
• Create scalable and reproducible workflows for experimental analysis.
• Design and build AI agents or copilots to automate experiment setup, log triage, and report generation.
• Use AI tools to improve performance modeling, research gathering, and daily task automation.
• Document and present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• A PhD in Physics or Engineering with 1+ years of experience, a Master's with 4+ years, or a Bachelor's with 6+ years is required.
• Candidates must be able to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Checks and meet export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• Candidates must provide proof of citizenship or U.S. permanent residency for export-controlled information access.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for performance modeling, research gathering, and task automation.
• Ability to design and build AI agents or copilots for experiment setup, log triage, and knowledge retrieval.
• Experience with mesoscopic condensed-matter or topological physics including quantum devices is preferred.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects, deployed technical solutions, or published research is preferred.
• Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years.
