QA Engineer Lead – Guideware joins the IBM Consulting team to design and execute testing for applications and systems implemented using Guideware packages. The role involves creating optimized test scenarios, identifying data requirements, estimating work efforts, and coordinating activities to meet project timelines. You will perform both manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality results while analyzing outcomes to improve processes. Key technical requirements include expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, specifically using the GT-UI Framework for workflow automation. The candidate must be proficient with Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD, alongside experience in API and performance testing using Postman, Karate, and JMeter. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab to manage release governance within the insurance and core business domain context.
Design optimized test scenarios and identify necessary test data and environment requirements for Guideware systems.
Plan testing activities by estimating work efforts, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating schedules to meet project timelines.
Execute manual and automated test cases using tools like Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD.
Perform API and performance testing using specialized tools such as Postman, Karate, and JMeter.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins and GitLab.
Analyze test outcomes to identify areas for process improvement and ensure high-quality results.
Report regular updates on testing progress, defect status, and overall outcomes to project stakeholders.
What we're looking for
15+ years of QA automation and software testing experience, including leadership of strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and release governance.
Strong expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, including automation of Guidewire workflows using the GT-UI Framework.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools including Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD.
Experience in API and performance testing using Postman, Karate, and JMeter.
Proficiency with CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and automated testing integration.
Experience in designing and executing testing for applications, identifying test data requirements, and analyzing outcomes to optimize processes.
Experience with multiple ERP packages or industry products like SAP, Oracle, or Finnacle (preferred); knowledge of advanced testing methodologies (preferred).
