As a Python AWS Software Engineer III within the Consumer & Community Banking - Wealth Management team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and creating high-quality production code while maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with various systems. Your daily work involves producing architecture artifacts, analyzing large datasets to improve system performance, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to enhance development speed and quality. The role requires extensive experience in Python, database querying languages, and building cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Glue jobs. You will also develop data-intensive applications using Databricks Spark workflows. Technical requirements include proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, and potentially Airflow or front-end technologies.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions beyond conventional approaches.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI tools to generate code, refactor systems, and create unit tests.
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring code meets specific design constraints.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to develop visualizations and reports for system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS including compute, storage, security, and networking.
Build data-intensive applications and workflows using Databricks and Spark.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
3+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Python and database querying languages.
Extensive experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions on AWS, including compute, storage, security/IAM, networking, observability, and AWS Glue jobs.
Experience building data-intensive applications and workflows using Databricks (Spark, jobs/workflows).
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine code and documentation.
Understanding of responsible AI use, SDLC, agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
