Project Manager I

What you'll do

• Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to implementation.
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking, resource planning, and vendor engagement.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Gather business requirements to develop Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and FedEx Work Requests (FWRs).
• Coordinate Organizational Change Management activities including communication planning, stakeholder readiness, and user training.
• Provide executive status reporting and manage project governance for senior leadership.
• Support global deployments and legacy system modernizations across international operating companies.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational efficiencies and implementing best practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED and four years of experience in a technical or professional position is accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Five years of experience in a technical or professional environment with at least two years leading cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of Legacy Express systems, DSM platforms, and Global Pickup & Delivery Ecosystem (GPDE).
• Proficiency in Project Management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
• Experience with Everest processes, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), and FedEx Work Requests (FWRs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT (preferred).
