The Project Engineer 2 joins the Global Products Group to drive advancements in the design and engineering of etch and deposition products for the semiconductor industry. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to execute engineering projects, optimizing the development lifecycle, and bringing Etch AI initiatives to life. Key responsibilities include creating process documentation, developing evaluation methods, and managing project plans to ensure timely, on-budget delivery. The successful candidate will utilize skills in Product Lifecycle Management, Model Based Definition, and OOAD principles to deploy scalable AI services. Required technical proficiencies include RAG, Agentic Workflows, Vector databases, and data visualization. Candidates should possess experience with C++, Python, SQL, Git, and REST APIs, alongside proficiency in Excel, VBA, and tools like JMP, Qlik, or Matlab.
Direct the execution of Etch AI initiatives to bring new technologies to life.
Lead cross-functional teams to align project requirements and functionality with diverse stakeholders.
Improve engineering development and release processes, including communication tools and engineering practices.
Develop evaluation methods to assess process strengths and identify specific areas for improvement.
Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation and effective training materials.
Present project plans to senior management to gain buy-in and deliver measurable results.
Manage project lifecycles to ensure completion on time and within budget.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
Experience in designing RAG, Agentic Workflow, managing Vector databases, and using OOAD principles to deploy scalable and secure AI services.
Related experience with Model Based Definition (MBD), including part/assembly modeling, on-model annotations, Technical Data Packages, and fabrication.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, processes, and methodologies.
Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and using data visualization techniques and tools.
Skills in Excel are required; demonstrable capability with VBA, SQL, JMP, Qlik, Access, QuickBase, SAP, Matlab, or other programming languages is a plus (preferred).
Industry experience in C++, Python, SQL, Git/GitHub, and REST API are highly recommended (preferred).
Experience in Mechanical Engineering, NX modeling (5+ years), Product Configuration, or Manufacturing Engineering is highly valuable (preferred).
