Professional Services Consultant

What you'll do

• Deliver technical execution and advisory services to ensure customers realize the full value of Cloudflare products.
• Gather business and technical requirements to design, build, and migrate custom solutions for enterprise clients.
• Create comprehensive project artifacts including solution designs, high-level/low-level designs, test plans, and migration scripts.
• Implement configuration changes within the Cloudflare environment following specific customer change management processes.
• Provide technical guidance to customers for configuring their own equipment and integration points.
• Troubleshoot complex implementation issues and manage technical escalations with internal engineering teams.
• Create operational assets such as automation scripts, templates, and documentation to improve internal workflows.

What we're looking for

• Expertise in Layer 7 products including DDoS Protection, WAF, API Gateway, Bot Management, Certificates Manager, Rate Limiting, SSL, and Page Shield.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Customer Engineer, Security Engineer, or Solutions Architect (preferred).
• Deep understanding of OSI model layers and protocols including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP.
• Deep understanding of internet and security technologies like DDoS, WAF, Certificates, DNS, CDN, Analytics, and Logs.
• Experience with performance aspects such as Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP/2, and TLSv1.3.
• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash (preferred).
• Working experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
