JOB TITLE: Production Support Engineering - Cloud DevOps Engineer SMTS The Production Support Engineering team seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer, Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and production platforms. You will improve service availability and developer productivity by developing software, automation frameworks, scripts, and APIs to replace manual operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining Infrastructure as Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, and operating containerized workloads. You will utilize Python, Go, Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible to solve complex production issues. The role requires applying distributed-systems concepts like fault tolerance and scalability while using observability tools for metrics, logs, and traces. You will troubleshoot across networking, storage, and application layers to ensure high availability and reliability within a cloud-native environment.

What you'll do

Design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure and production platforms.
Develop software, automation frameworks, scripts, and APIs using Python, Go, or Java to reduce manual operations.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for repeatable provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, security validation, and deployment processes.
Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Kubernetes or comparable cloud-native platforms.
Build and improve observability systems using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
Diagnose production incidents using telemetry and system-level analysis to implement permanent fixes.
Identify repetitive operational activities and convert them into safe, testable, and maintainable automation.

What we're looking for

6+ years of experience in a senior or lead role in Cloud DevOps engineering.
Experience designing, deploying, or operating production workloads on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience developing production software in Core Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language.
Experience with containerization and cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Helm.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows.
Experience with production observability using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting platforms.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices (preferred).
