What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for Stripe-built and third-party hardware devices and accessories.
  • Define product requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria from initial concept through post-launch iteration.
  • Manage the global expansion of the third-party hardware portfolio including local payment support and certifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to guide the development of high-quality firmware and software experiences.
  • Evaluate external OEM and ODM partners to resolve technical issues and define joint product roadmaps.
  • Build business cases for new device categories, accessories, and specialized connectivity use cases.
  • Establish success metrics based on customer feedback, device reliability, and financial performance to inform decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy, risks, and trade-offs clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of product management experience or equivalent experience leading complex technology products.
  • Proven success shipping physical hardware, connected devices, embedded products, or consumer electronics from concept through launch.
  • Experience defining and driving product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, and launch plans for technical products.
  • Ability to partner with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams while participating in technical architecture discussions.
  • Proficiency in navigating trade-offs between customer experience, technical feasibility, reliability, quality, cost, supply, and timing.
  • Experience with hardware manufacturing processes including prototype development, validation, production readiness, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with external vendors, manufacturers, OEMs, ODMs, or other strategic technology partners.
  • Analytical approach to product development using evidence to set priorities and measure outcomes across cross-functional programs.
