JOB TITLE: Product Manager, Hardware
The Product Manager, Hardware joins the Stripe Terminal team to lead the strategy, development, and expansion of the hardware portfolio. This role involves managing both first-party and third-party hardware, including readers, accessories, and emerging form factors. You will define multi-year roadmaps, set product requirements, and manage user journeys from concept through post-launch iteration. Key responsibilities include partnering with hardware, firmware, software, and quality engineering teams while coordinating with external OEMs and ODMs. You must navigate trade-offs between user experience, technical feasibility, reliability, cost, and supply chain logistics. The role focuses on the in-person payments space, solving problems related to device availability, local payment-method support, certifications, and global distribution to provide reliable, differentiated payment experiences across various countries and operating environments.

What we're looking for

Demonstrated success shipping physical hardware, connected devices, embedded products, payments devices, or consumer electronics from concept through launch.
Experience defining and driving product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, and launch plans for technical products.
Experience partnering with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams to participate in technical product and architecture discussions.
Experience with hardware product-development and manufacturing processes, including prototype development, validation, production readiness, and sustaining lifecycle management.
Experience working with external vendors, manufacturers, OEMs, ODMs, or other strategic technology partners.
A customer-focused and analytical approach to product development, leading cross-functional programs, and using evidence to set priorities.
Experience in payments, commerce platforms, point-of-sale systems, or international product launches (preferred).
