As a Product Engineer 3 within the Platform Global Product Support team, you will serve as the technical backbone for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. You will provide real-time problem-solving to address customer challenges while diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, robotics, computer systems, software, and networked or wireless systems. Your daily responsibilities include performing failure analysis when first-line support fails, reporting design and reliability bugs to engineering teams, and creating technical documentation for customers. You will work in cleanroom labs and semiconductor fab environments to resolve issues involving sophisticated technology. The role requires expertise in structured problem solving using 8D methodology, FMEA, and RCCA. Candidates should possess skills in English communication and experience with robotics or semiconductor equipment to solve critical hardware and software malfunctions.

What you'll do

Provide technical support to field engineers and technicians for complex electro/mechanical equipment and software systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug malfunctioning semiconductor equipment and networked systems.
Perform failure analysis on issues that first-line product support cannot resolve.
Report design, reliability, and maintenance bugs to engineering teams and collaborate on technical solutions.
Create and present reports regarding project status, software bugs, and escalations to relevant factory groups.
Develop and update technical documentation for field service engineers and customers.
Participate in customer installation and training sessions for sophisticated products.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years experience, or a PhD in a relevant engineering or science field.
Equivalent professional experience to the specified degrees is acceptable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including strong presentation abilities.
Capability for structured problem solving, preferably using the 8D methodology.
Experience with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA), and 5-Whys problem solving.
Experience working with robotics and/or semiconductor equipment.
Ability to work in a team and build relationships in a multicultural environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
