Product Design Engineering Program Manager

What you'll do

• Deliver the mechanical assembly through the entire program life-cycle from architecture definition to mass production.
• Create and maintain streamlined schedules to drive cross-functional progress across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Manage manufacturing and assembly upstream and at the contract manufacturer through on-site trips to China.
• Present multiple levels of status updates regarding program progress to organizational leaders and executives.
• Engage with manufacturers on DFM, FAI/CPK, quality control, and production timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors to establish daily build plans and meet objectives.
• Anticipate functional roadblocks and prioritize parallel closure paths to keep the development process on track.

What we're looking for

• BSME/SE/EE degree or equivalent is required.
• MS degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in program management and mechanical/electrical engineering delivering products comprised of multiple materials is required.
• Experience leading product development in highly dynamic and ambiguous work environments supporting mechanical assembly and integration of multiple technologies is required.
• Experience engaging with manufacturers on DFM, FAI/CPK, QC, and production timelines is required.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, cross-functional engagement, and strong presentation skills are required.
• Shipped multiple full life-cycle programs with experience in early architecture, development build NPI execution, and operational mass-production (preferred).
• Experience as primary point of contact with vendors and CM partners to establish daily build plans and provide guidance (preferred).
