What you'll do

Lead iPhone integration and architecture efforts with internal teams and contract partners.
Conceive, design, and bring next-generation mobile products into production.
Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) for high-volume manufacturing.
Conduct statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.
Design plastic and metal parts including material selection for handheld devices.
Integrate wireless antennas and electrical subsystems into mechanical enclosures.
Design cosmetic enclosures with liquid and dust ingress protection.
Create technical graphical communications of concepts, ideas, and solutions.

What we're looking for

BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Experience in DFM, DFA, statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing for high volume manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design including material selection.
Experience with handheld or portable devices.
Experience with technical graphical communication of concepts, ideas, and solutions.
Experience with component modules, interconnects, wireless antenna integration, or cosmetic enclosures (preferred).
Siemens NX fluency, experience with overseas manufacturers, Mandarin skills, or international travel ability (preferred).
