Product Application Engineer

What you'll do

• Support customers with architecture and low-level hardware questions and issues.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support via email, phone, and on-site customer visits.
• Analyze customer architecture and requirements to secure design wins.
• Debug complicated hardware and software problems and perform board bring-up.
• Conduct schematic and layout design reviews for customer products.
• Train customers and Field Applications Engineers on complex high-speed interconnect technologies.
• Contribute to product definition and the development of the product roadmap.

What we're looking for

• BS, MS, or post-graduate degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 8 to 15+ years of experience in relevant fields with a strong track record of success.
• Strong working knowledge of high-speed (100Gbps+) phy and SerDes.
• Practical knowledge of C, C++, and Visual Basic to modify or create simple functions and scripts.
• Ability to debug complicated problems, perform hardware/software/firmware bring-up, and review PCB layouts and schematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain and train others on complex technology.
• Experience with Ethernet systems and standards is preferred.
• Experience with 100Gbps/200Gbps/400Gbps optical systems and standards is preferred.
