As a product application engineer for High Speed Interconnect Products, you will support Tier 1 customers designing products with high-speed physical layers. You will become an expert in the architecture of 100/400/800/1600/3200 Gigabit phys to secure design wins and ensure successful product launches. Your daily responsibilities include providing pre-sales and post-sales support, performing board debugging and bring-up, conducting schematic and layout design reviews, and creating technical documentation. You will also provide training for customers and Field Applications Engineers while analyzing customer requirements. The role requires expertise in high-speed SerDes, Ethernet systems, and optical standards. Technical skills include practical knowledge of C, C++, and Visual Basic to create scripts. You will utilize tools such as high-speed scopes, jitter analyzers, and network analyzers to solve complex hardware and software issues within the high-speed interconnect domain.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to Tier 1 customers via email, phone, and site visits.
Resolve complex hardware issues, including board debugging and system bring-up.
Conduct schematic and PCB layout design reviews for customer products.
Analyze customer architecture requirements to ensure successful product integration.
Provide training on complex technologies to both customers and Field Applications Engineers.
Create technical documentation regarding product definitions and roadmaps.
Support high-speed SerDes and Ethernet system architectures for 100G to 3200G products.
What we're looking for
BS, MS, or post-graduate degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Minimum of 8 to 15+ years of experience in relevant fields with a strong track record of success.
Practical knowledge of C, C++, and Visual Basic is required to modify or create simple functions and scripts.
Strong working knowledge of high-speed (100Gbps+) phy and SerDes.
Experience with Ethernet systems and standards (preferred).
Experience with 100Gbps/200Gbps/400Gbps optical systems, OTN, or complex System on a Chip devices (preferred).
Experience with high-speed Signal Integrity, optical components, PAM4, or using specialized test equipment like high-speed scopes and network analyzers (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
