As a Senior Procurement Operations Manager on the Deployed Programs team within Centralized Procurement, you will serve as a key leader driving procurement performance across various business lines. You will work directly with buyers to identify execution gaps, manage purchase orders, and improve supplier delivery through hands-on ERP and MRP data analysis. Your role involves implementing standardized playbooks, conducting root cause analyses on past due orders, and coaching team members on DPAS compliance and procurement policies. You will also build automated reporting dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to provide visibility into key metrics. This position addresses the complexities of high mix, low volume manufacturing within a defense technology context, ensuring that critical hardware components reach production floors reliably while establishing scalable procurement standards across the entire organization.
Embed with division teams to identify execution gaps and implement standard operating models for procurement.
Lead weekly on-time delivery reviews to perform root cause analysis on past due orders and supplier failures.
Coach buyers on core tasks including PR to PO conversion, DPAS compliance, and supplier performance management.
Perform hands-on ERP and MRP work to validate promise dates and ensure data hygiene in the system of record.
Roll out standardized procurement processes, templates, and escalation frameworks across all business units.
Manage KPI reporting for metrics such as order acknowledgement rates, invoice resolution, and supplier delivery performance.
Deliver training to buyers on procurement policy, governance, and technical workflows.
Support hiring decisions by evaluating candidate technical skills and ensuring consistent onboarding standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
5 to 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or strategic sourcing with ownership of supplier delivery and purchase order management.
Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for export-controlled information or facilities.
Ability to travel approximately 40% to 60% of the time.
Master's degree in supply chain, operations management, or an MBA (preferred).
Experience in defense, aerospace, or hardware manufacturing procurement (preferred).
Experience with DPAS rated order compliance and procurement governance in regulated environments (preferred).
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance (preferred).
