Principal UI Designer

What you'll do

• Define the visual quality bar and design principles for the Sportsbook experience across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
• Establish consistent visual systems including typography, color, hierarchy, motion, and interaction patterns across all customer touchpoints.
• Partner with Product Design, Engineering, and Brand teams to shape the future of FanDuel’s visual language.
• Champion accessibility, inclusive design, and usability while maintaining high standards of brand expression and craft.
• Explore emerging technologies, including AI capabilities and new platform features, to unlock innovative customer experiences.
• Coach and mentor designers through critiques, workshops, and hands-on leadership to elevate overall team craftsmanship.
• Influence engineering implementation to ensure the final production quality aligns with the original design intent.
• Develop reusable libraries, templates, and tools to increase the efficiency of the wider design organization.

What we're looking for

• Portfolio demonstrating world-class digital product craft and exceptional visual design.
• Deep expertise in typography, layout, hierarchy, color, interaction design, motion design, and visual storytelling.
• Deep understanding of modern platform conventions and UI patterns across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Experience defining scalable visual systems, reusable interaction patterns, and design frameworks for large ecosystems.
• Proven ability to define visual direction that shapes the work of other designers and elevates product quality at scale.
• Demonstrated influence across multiple teams and senior stakeholders without formal management responsibility.
• Experience partnering with engineering to ensure high production quality and craftsmanship.
• Strong understanding of AI-assisted design workflows and how they enhance design judgment and creativity.
