JOB TITLE: Principal Survivability Engineer 3 The Principal Survivability Engineer 3 joins the Survivability Engineering team to develop, test, and implement materials and technologies that enable aircraft to operate in enemy airspace. This role involves the full systems engineering lifecycle, including research, modeling, analysis, static component testing, dynamic flight testing, and manufacturing support. The engineer will use proprietary analysis codes to predict design performance and build physical models to verify results. Key responsibilities include reducing aircraft detectability across electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums while balancing stealth goals with other engineering requirements. The position requires expertise in design integration, product support, or antenna integration. Candidates must possess skills in Radio Frequency modeling, computational electromagnetic analysis, and the ability to post-process complex electromagnetic data to improve Low Observable platform signatures.

What you'll do

  • Use classified technology to reduce aircraft detectability across electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums.
  • Predict design performance using proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes.
  • Build and test physical models to verify design predictions and performance.
  • Optimize stealth designs while meeting the requirements of other engineering disciplines.
  • Manage customer goals and balance design requirements within an Integrated Product Team environment.
  • Perform RF modeling and testing of complex classified targets at indoor and outdoor test facilities.
  • Post-process complex electromagnetic data to identify and exploit trends for radar evasion.

What we're looking for

  • Must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
  • Must have a Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
  • Must have a Ph.D. and 0 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in Stealth (design integration, product support, or antenna integration).
  • Master’s degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (preferred).
