TL;DR · Principal, Strategy and Transformation

Principal, Strategy and Transformation is a senior individual contributor role focused on leading complex, enterprise-wide risk transformation initiatives within a regulated financial services environment. The successful candidate will translate high-level strategy into actionable workstreams, managing the full program lifecycle including planning, milestone tracking, dependency mapping, and risk mitigation. Day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating cross-functional teams across business and technology units to implement sustainable risk-management processes, governance structures, and operating models. The role requires expertise in program management, critical thinking, and stakeholder influence to navigate intricate requirements and ensure delivery against committed objectives. Key competencies include experience with risk management practices, such as controls management or enterprise resilience, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to senior leadership. This position addresses the challenge of executing large-scale change within a highly regulated financial infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Translate enterprise risk transformation strategies into actionable workstreams, milestones, and delivery plans.
  • Manage day-to-day program execution by monitoring progress and intervening to meet committed timelines.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and barriers to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Establish and facilitate governance structures, including executive updates and cross-functional decision forums.
  • Partner with risk experts and technology leaders to align transformation priorities across the organization.
  • Facilitate complex discussions to resolve conflicting priorities and drive stakeholders toward actionable solutions.
  • Create decision-oriented communications for senior leadership regarding project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Support the design and implementation of sustainable risk management processes and operating models.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess eligibility to work in the United States at the date of hire.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 10 or more years of progressive experience or a consistent portfolio of relevant experience.
  • Must have experience leading large-scale, complex transformation programs in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
  • Must possess hands-on program management expertise including planning, risk management, governance, and executive reporting.
  • Must be able to translate strategy into structured plans and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with cross-functional dependencies.
  • Experience working within a second-line risk management organization in financial services (preferred).
  • Experience leading enterprise risk or regulatory transformation in large banking environments (preferred).
