Northrop Grumman Mission Systems’ Marine Logistics Support Program within the Launcher Operating Unit in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Project Manager to oversee project delivery on cost and schedule while ensuring technical requirements are met and fostering customer relationships. The role involves liaising with client management, technical leads, and functional managers to review budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Program Manager and IPT leads on reporting and presentations, ensuring quality deliverables, managing risks and opportunities, implementing process improvements, and adhering to contract scope and change control processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management for U.S. Government contracts, proficiency with MS Office Suite applications, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, requiring US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Manages project schedules and prepares status reports for stakeholders.
Coordinates with Program Manager and IPT leads on reporting and presentations.
Ensures quality and compliance of deliverables from Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
Implements process improvements and monitors project progress and issues.
Tracks and manages meeting action items to ensure timely closure.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or master’s degree with 1+ year of relevant project management experience supporting US Government contracts.
Demonstrated use of MS Office Suite applications for data analysis, tracking, reporting, documentation, and schedule development/tracking.
Experience applying business and financial management principles in program execution, including cost account management and performance reporting.
Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams supporting project deliverables.
Experience in Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including risk identification, tracking, mitigation planning, and reporting.
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
