Principal Solutions Architect, Developer Platform

What you'll do

• Develop and own technical strategies for strategic Developer Platform customers and partners across the APJC region.
• Translate complex business, security, and operational requirements into scalable architectures on Cloudflare.
• Lead technical workshops, proofs of concept, and design reviews to move workloads into production.
• Advise executive stakeholders on application modernization, distributed systems, and AI architecture.
• Create reusable reference architectures and standard governance patterns for the regional field organization.
• Build, review, and troubleshoot representative applications and integrations to remain hands-on with technology.
• Mentor other solutions architects and provide technical leadership through public speaking and written guidance.
• Establish feedback loops between customers and product teams to influence roadmap and go-to-market strategies.

What we're looking for

• Candidates should have 15 or more years of experience in solutions architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting.
• Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required for technical and executive discussions.
• Experience must include owning complex technical strategies involving developers, infrastructure teams, security stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Deep knowledge of distributed application architecture including compute, storage, networking, security, reliability, and observability is required.
• Hands-on software development experience to build or review production-quality applications and proofs of concept is required.
• Experience with modern web technologies and at least one programming ecosystem, preferably JavaScript or TypeScript, is required.
• Understanding of serverless or cloud-native architectures and at least one major public cloud platform is required.
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
