The Principal Software Engineer/Developer joins the team to develop and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks across unit, component, integration, and system testing levels. This role involves building web applications using Flask and Django, performing solution deployment on AWS or Azure Cloud environments, and managing CI/CD workflows. Key responsibilities include designing application-level architecture, implementing event-driven messaging with Kafka and EMS, and developing backend systems for high-performance data storage. The position requires expertise in Python, FastAPI, Pandas, Numpy, and Spark to build distributed data lake houses and Delta Lake architectures. Candidates will perform complex technical analysis, mentor junior members, and translate divisional initiatives into software solutions. The work focuses on scalable data engineering pipelines, data versioning, and integrating complex subsystems using functional programming paradigms and Agile methodologies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks for unit, component, integration, and system testing.
Build web applications using Flask and Django frameworks.
Deploy and maintain solutions using AWS or Azure cloud environments and CI/CD workflows.
Design system architecture and messaging integrations using event-driven architecture and Kafka.
Develop complex software applications to translate divisional business visions into technical solutions.
Establish full project life cycle plans and coordinate schedules for multiple complex projects.
Perform independent technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting divisional initiatives.
Design and develop backend systems and APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Delta Lake architectures.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting backend systems using Python for high-performance data storage and retrieval in AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
Expertise designing and developing backend systems and APIs using Python with FastAPI and Flask.
Expertise implementing distributed data lake house and data engineering pipelines using Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Snowflake, and Kafka.
Expertise performing data analysis and visualization using Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, PowerBI, Tableau, and Oracle DB.
Experience applying Agile methodologies and deploying applications using DevOps CI tools like GIT, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Experience developing test automation frameworks spanning unit, component, integration, and system testing using CI/CD pipelines.
