What you'll do

Drive system architecture and software development processes for next-generation retail and shopping experiences.
Prototype, research, and code scalable, consumer-facing systems using Java and distributed computing.
Develop proofs of concept using GenAI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and cloud-based AI platforms.
Lead and mentor engineering teams to foster technical excellence and career development.

What we're looking for

Must have a BS in computer science or a related field and 5 years of software engineering experience, or 7 years of software engineering experience.
Must have at least 12 years of software engineering experience building highly available systems.
Must be proficient in programming languages, particularly Java.
Must have experience in data engineering, handling large datasets, and using databases including vector and big data technologies.
Must have expertise in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, containerization (Docker/K8s), multi-cloud, and CI/CD.
Must have a proven track record of mentoring engineers and building successful software systems from inception to deployment.
Preferred experience with GenAI technologies such as LLMs and RAG.
Preferred Master’s degree in computer science or a related area and 3 years of software engineering experience.
