TL;DR · Principal Software Engineer, Simulation Engine

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Simulation Engine team, you will define the technical direction for simulation platforms used to validate autonomous driving software and gym environments for training reinforcement learning models. You will establish architectural principles, manage long-term roadmaps, and resolve complex cross-organizational problems involving machine learning, infrastructure, and developer tooling. Your daily work involves setting standards for fidelity, performance, and determinism while creating scalable systems for scenario and sensor modeling. The role requires expert proficiency in modern C++, Python, and object-oriented design to build high-performance validation tools. You will navigate the technical intersection of autonomous driving and simulation to solve critical safety and performance challenges before software reaches public roads. Ideal candidates may possess experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, as well as physics platforms such as PhysX.
