As a Principal Software Engineer on the Power BI Distribution & Growth team, you will provide technical leadership for highly scalable, secure, and reliable distributed systems. What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of experience coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Proven experience architecting hyperscale distributed systems, data platforms, or cloud services (preferred).
Deep expertise in storage systems, large-scale computation frameworks, and data lifecycle management (preferred).
Solid understanding of privacy, security, compliance, and governance requirements in global cloud environments (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to drive architectural alignment across complex organizations and influence strategic technical decisions (preferred).
