What you'll do

Lead the design and evolution of core distributed systems and data-plane services at hyperscale.
Define scalability, durability, and availability requirements for all owned components.
Optimize high-throughput data paths for large-scale retrieval, storage, and processing using distributed patterns.
Design fault-tolerant systems that support in-service updates through redundancy and automatic failover.
Implement distributed system controls such as load shedding, throttling, rate limiting, and retries.
Establish service-level objectives, telemetry, and proactive alerting for critical infrastructure.
Lead performance, load, and fault-injection testing to validate system resilience and readiness.
Manage production incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and Infrastructure as Code automation.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact on large-scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in one or more object-oriented or systems programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
Deep understanding of distributed systems design, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and secure software development.
Experience with system-level test automation, performance/load testing, reliability engineering, and production incident response.
Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture and mentoring engineers.
Experience with large-scale cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
Experience with data-plane platforms, distributed storage, microservices, replication, state management, or high-throughput data processing (preferred).
