What you'll do

Own and deliver complete features across the entire development lifecycle from design to shipping.
Orchestrate the latest AI models and harnesses to improve company-wide developer productivity.
Write and review clean, high-quality code focused on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Experiment with multiple AI approaches to establish new best practices for agentic development.
Provide technical mentorship and coaching to engineers within and beyond the immediate team.
Advocate for state-of-the-art AI coding practices to both internal teams and customers.
Forge technical and mission-based partnerships with other teams across Microsoft on related problems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
Proficiency in coding languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Prior experience building with Agent SDKs, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI orchestration frameworks (preferred).
Familiarity with agentic AI development patterns like multi-step reasoning, RAG, and human-in-the-loop workflows (preferred).
Proven experience delivering large-scale, production-quality systems (preferred).
Solid software engineering fundamentals in system design, algorithms, testing, debugging, and code review (preferred).
Experience with AI-powered developer tooling like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor (preferred).
