Additionally, experience with policy enforcement systems, agent frameworks, and supply chain security tools is essential for this high-impact position.

What you'll do

Own APF Core Services by building and hardening critical components like Runtime Policy Verifier and authorization APIs.
Design deterministic policy projections from canonical policies into runtime-specific constraints and requirements.
Create comprehensive conformance tests including golden fixtures, negative tests, and fuzz/property tests for APF-compatible systems.
Collaborate with OpenShell engineers to define public runtime interfaces for projection consumption and adapter paths.
Drive the maturation of architecture by defining versioning, schema compatibility, and fail-closed defaults for engineering review artifacts.

What we're looking for

15+ years industry experience in systems software, security engineering, or distributed systems.
Strong programming skills in Rust, Go, C++, or Python with production service design expertise.
Experience with authorization, cryptographic signatures, trust roots, and secure-by-default failure handling.
Ability to write technical specifications and align multiple engineering owners for architecture maturity.
Familiarity with runtime policy systems like OPA/Rego, Cedar, Zanzibar-style authorization, or sandbox policy enforcement.
Knowledge of agent runtime security including tool-call governance, sandboxed execution, and credential isolation.
