Principal Software Cloud Engineer, Hybrid Cloud Platform Owner

What you'll do

• Lead the strategy and execution for hybrid cloud and migration solutions to support a global private cloud ecosystem.
• Partner with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute the modernization of critical workloads.
• Design and implement architectures that ensure seamless interoperability across on-premises, public cloud, and edge platforms.
• Collaborate with FinOps and finance teams to model TCO/ROI and drive cloud cost optimization initiatives.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities, including CI/CD integration and infrastructure-as-code within hybrid environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to both onshore and offshore partners to foster a culture of innovation.
• Communicate roadmaps, risks, and progress to business and technical teams while gathering feedback for iterative improvements.
• Maintain system diagrams, playbooks, and standard operating procedures while monitoring industry trends to support R&D efforts.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Must have 7+ years of experience if holding a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code implementations using tools like Terraform, Aria, Ansible, and JSON (preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes implementation at the infrastructure deployment and provisioning level (preferred).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing VMware infrastructure (preferred).
• Experience troubleshooting hybrid cloud deployments including storage, networking, compute, and operating systems (preferred).
• Strong experience leading technical teams or projects across multiple time zones and cultures (preferred).
• Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
