What you'll do

Champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve productivity.
Drive operational excellence for systems underpinning applications used by millions of global fans.

What we're looking for

10+ years of experience building large-scale, highly available distributed services.
Expert-level programming skills in Java or a similar object-oriented language with strong computer science fundamentals.
Proven track record of designing backend architectures that span multiple teams and driving consensus on them.
Experience building and operating message-based, distributed systems, including caching strategies.
Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction beyond a single team.
Experience working on highly scalable, real-time content or data platforms serving millions of consumers (preferred).
Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud services, including Terraform and infrastructure as code (preferred).
Experience with event-driven messaging architectures and both relational and non-relational database technologies (preferred).
