Principal Product Manager, Responsible AI

What you'll do

• Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Responsible AI capabilities within Microsoft.
• Build platform capabilities that enable enterprises to operationalize AI safety, security, governance, transparency, and compliance.
• Design scalable technical features for AI evaluations, red teaming, guardrails, risk detection, and monitoring.
• Conduct customer discovery with enterprise clients to translate emerging risks into differentiated product capabilities.
• Partner with research, legal, and security teams to anticipate future technology and regulatory requirements.
• Define success metrics and use telemetry data to improve product adoption and customer value.
• Represent Microsoft at industry forums and with partners focused on trustworthy AI standards.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience as a software product manager or C-level startup executive focusing on B2B software.
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in product, service, program management, or software development.
• 4+ years of experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market.
• 6+ years of experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market.
• 6+ years of experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.
• Experience defining product strategy and shipping complex technical products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
