The Principal Product Leader- Therapeutics Discovery joins the Data and Digital Catalysts department within the Computational Sciences Center of Excellence. Reporting to the Domain Head for Therapeutics Discovery, this role involves defining and executing the strategy for a product family essential for making and testing molecules. The individual will manage the data lifecycle, provide data products for AI/ML and scientific analysis, and develop strategic roadmaps to support multiple therapeutic modalities. Key responsibilities include articulating product visions, managing stakeholder relationships, and documenting software requirements for custom and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf systems. The role requires expertise in the design-make-test-learn aspects of biotechnology, specifically regarding antibody engineering, medicinal chemistry, and automation. This position bridges wet and dry labs to create a computational ecosystem that accelerates drug discovery and decision-making.
Define the strategy and product vision for a product family within the Therapeutics Discovery Domain.
Develop a strategic product roadmap that aligns with scientific outcomes and drug discovery goals.
Manage the data lifecycle and provide data products to support AI/ML and scientific analysis.
Document detailed software requirements, user stories, and business processes for custom and COTS systems.
Advocate for future-facing solutions and influence the broader informatics ecosystem.
Oversee budget projections and coordinate with implementation teams to drive product delivery.
Lead the consolidation and deprecation of legacy systems to reduce technical debt.
Cultivate internal and external partnerships with scientific collaborators and technical teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years, or an advanced degree plus at least 2 years of proven experience leading delivery of impactful internal solutions.
Experience working in a biotechnology setting and understanding scientific drug discovery processes.
Strong skills in Product Management, including product vision definition, strategic thinking, and extended stakeholder management.
Hands-on domain expertise in the design-make-test-learn aspects of biotechnology.
Understanding of how scientific data is collected, managed, analyzed, and used in the discovery process.
Experience documenting detailed software requirements, user stories, business processes, and software specifications for custom and COTS systems.
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.
Outstanding oral and written two-way communication skills to articulate vision and strategy to diverse audiences.
