The Principal PMT, NTN Core, Amazon Leo joins the team defining product requirements for the Direct-to-Device satellite system. This role involves defining product requirements, leading feature alignment, and driving roadmap planning for the NTN Core Network globally. You will build 0-to-1 satellite systems for consumer, business, and government customers by ensuring interoperability across RAN, Core, Transport, and cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include defining 3GPP-compliant protocol layers, network functions, and service-based architectures to ensure low latency and high reliability for satellite-based connectivity. You must possess deep technical mastery of 3GPP protocols, NAS signaling, and 4G/5G Packet Cores. The role requires translating user stories into detailed requirements while managing software release lifecycles and navigating the technical complexities of TN-NTN mobility and satellite communications.
Define product requirements and roadmap for the NTN Core Network to support global satellite connectivity.
Drive feature alignment to ensure interoperability between RAN, Core, Transport, and cloud infrastructure.
Lead the definition, deployment, and testing of 3GPP-compliant protocol layers and network functions.
Translate customer experiences and user stories into detailed technical product requirements.
Author and present technical documents, including 6-pagers and PRDs, to senior leadership.
Monitor 3GPP releases and industry trends to guide long-term product strategy.
Use data and metrics to develop business cases and back up technical assumptions.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or 7+ years of wireless communications systems and implementation experience.
10+ years of experience solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry.
5+ years of technical product management, program management, or engineering experience.
7+ years of wireless communications systems experience, including deployment of 4G/5G Packet Core.
Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy, feature delivery, and technical product management.
Experience in written and verbal communication to present complex technical information to executives and non-technical leaders.
