What you'll do

Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability across distributed systems at scale.
Define and enforce versioning, deprecation, and rollout strategies to minimize downstream impacts on services.
Establish shared observability baselines including SLOs, error budgets, and resilience patterns for multiple services.
Design and implement complex API versioning, lifecycle management, and performance optimization strategies.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical coaching to junior engineers on architecture and coding standards.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance profiling to resolve complex software issues and bottlenecks.
Implement secure coding practices and automated testing to ensure system reliability and security compliance.
Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional tasks to ensure the delivery of high-priority initiatives.

What we're looking for

Must have 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in Java and SQL is required.
Experience with Docker and distributed systems is required.
Expertise in cloud architecture is required.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
