Principal Network Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and evolve low-latency, resilient network architectures across global data centers, co-location sites, and cloud environments.
• Lead advanced routing designs using BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and multicast to ensure high availability and traffic engineering.
• Conduct technical research, lab validations, and pre-implementation testing to optimize hardware performance and identify design constraints.
• Manage complex projects from inception to execution by creating detailed technical designs, migration runbooks, and capacity plans.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts for configuration management, change validation, and operational efficiency using API and SSH methods.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews to establish high standards and best practices across the organization.
• Define monitoring and telemetry strategies using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to improve visibility and troubleshooting.
• Create technical documentation and materials to support regulatory requirements and audit processes.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in mission-critical, low-latency environments.
• Must possess deep expertise in low-latency and deterministic network design including analysis of latency and jitter.
• Must have advanced knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and multicast.
• Must be able to write production-quality Python for API-driven and SSH-based network automation.
• Must have experience designing hybrid cloud connectivity using AWS constructs like Direct Connect and Transit Gateway.
• Must be proficient with observability platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Preferred candidates should hold a CCIE certification or equivalent advanced vendor certifications.
